Here's the full interview:

Q: Hi Nivedita, to start with, could you tell us a bit about your journey into Human Resources, and what drew you to work with a dynamic agency like FinalFunnel?

A: My journey into Human Resources has been a blend of unexpected turns, resilience, and continuous growth. It all began 13 years ago, not in an HR department, but as a Research Analyst. At the time, I had just experienced a serious accident during my final semester exams, which delayed the completion of my Law degree. While recovering, I didn’t want to sit idle, hence I chose to start working, and that one decision opened up a completely new path for me.

During my tenure at Salebuild, I was offered an internal opportunity to move into the HR team. I took that opportunity, and that decision turned out to be the turning point in my career.

I began with recruitment and gradually expanded my expertise across various HR functions. Today, I have over 11 years of hands-on experience across the full spectrum of Human Resources - employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, and strategic planning. To further enhance my skillset, I completed certifications in POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment), HRBP, Administration, and Conciliation & HR Management. These have helped me stay updated and efficient in an ever-evolving field. My academic background in law has consistently added depth to my HR approach, especially in areas involving compliance, workplace ethics, and conflict resolution. It’s a combination that has helped me be both people-focused and process-oriented.

What drew me to FinalFunnel was its dynamic and growth-driven culture. I saw it as a place where I could bring together my experience, legal insights, and people-first approach to make a meaningful difference. Over the past 4.9 years, that vision has come to life, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding chapter of my journey.

Q: What's one aspect of your role as HR Manager that energizes you every day?

A: What energizes me every day is the opportunity to directly influence employee experience and growth. Whether it’s onboarding a new hire, resolving a complex issue, or rolling out a new engagement initiative, I love being the bridge between people and purpose. Seeing the impact of our HR strategies reflected in team performance and morale is incredibly rewarding.

Q: Outside of work, what are some of your passions or interests that help you recharge and bring fresh perspectives to your role?

A: Outside of work, I truly enjoy connecting with new people. It broadens my perspective and deepens my understanding of human behaviour, which is invaluable in my HR role. I have a strong passion for singing and dancing, which allows me to express myself creatively and unwind after a busy day. I also enjoy reading legal and behavioural science content – it’s a blend of my academic foundation and my passion for understanding people. In addition, I make it a point to work out every day and stick to a consistent routine. Physical activity keeps me energized and focused, while a structured daily rhythm helps me maintain clarity and discipline. Both of which are essential when managing the dynamic responsibilities of HR.

Q: Demand generation is a fast-paced and evolving field. How does your HR strategy directly support our ability to innovate and deliver cutting-edge results for our clients?

A: In a fast-moving field like demand generation, our HR strategy focuses on being flexible, encouraging learning, and empowering our people. We look for folks who are adaptable, eager to learn and open to new ideas.

But it does not stop at hiring. Once someone joins our team, we support them with the right tools, training, and opportunities to grow. We also work hard to create a culture where people feel comfortable sharing ideas and trying new things.

Our goal is to make sure every team member feels supported and confident enough to take initiatives. When employees feel valued and trusted, they are more likely to bring fresh ideas, and that helps us stay ahead and deliver great results for our clients.

Q: How does your team ensure we attract, retain, and nurture top-tier talent specifically suited for the unique demands of demand generation?

A: We believe in taking a holistic and people-focused approach to managing talent. When it comes to hiring, we don’t just look at skills on paper, but also at whether a candidate aligns with our culture, pace, and mindset. Demand generation is a fast-moving space, so we look for people who are adaptable, curious, and eager to grow. Once someone joins us, we focus on making sure they feel seen, supported, and set up for success.

  • We prioritize clear and transparent communication, right from onboarding through every stage of their journey. We take the time to understand each employee’s career goals because we know that career goals and motivations vary from person to person.
  • We also care deeply about mental well-being. We know people perform best when they feel balanced, so we try to create a healthy and positive work environment.
  • To help our team grow, we offer regular feedback, learning opportunities, and chances to work across different teams. The goal is not just to help people succeed in their current roles, but to prepare them for the next step, wherever that may be.

At the end of the day, we want every team member to feel like they belong, are growing, and are genuinely excited to be part of what we’re building here at FinalFunnel.

Q: How do you ensure that our company culture remains vibrant and supportive, even as we continue to grow and expand our services?

A: As the company grows, we make efforts to keep our culture strong and people-focused. It does not just happen; in fact, it takes regular effort and a genuine focus on people.

  • We celebrate both big and small wins across the company so that everyone feels appreciated and seen.
  • We also make sure everyone’s voice is heard. This helps us understand what’s working and where we can improve.
  • As we grow, we make sure our core values stay at the heart of everything we do. From hiring and onboarding to performance reviews and recognition. We are always looking for ways to build connections across teams, whether that’s through team-building activities, mentorship, or even just creating time for casual, human moments.
  • And above all, we focus on work-life balance and inclusivity because we know a supportive culture means different things to different people.

Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels respected, supported, and excited to grow with us.

Q: How do you ensure that employee feedback is heard, valued, and acted upon within the company?

A: We believe that feedback is a two-way path – it’s not just about listening, but also showing people that their input leads to real change.

To make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable sharing their thoughts, we have created multiple ways for feedback to flow, like anonymous surveys, regular one-on-ones, and open-door sessions with leadership.

What matters most is that we don’t just listen, but we also take action. When feedback is shared, we do our best to respond and make changes. We also update the team on what’s being done so people know their input really counts.

This helps build trust and encourages open, honest communication across the company. When people feel heard, they are more engaged, and that’s what we always aim for.

Q: What are a few trends in the world of work that you are tracking? How are you making changes in the HR processes of FinalFunnel to keep up with the changes?

A: The world of work is changing fast, and as an HR professional, I make it a point to stay updated with the latest trends so we can keep our people and our processes future-ready.

One big shift we are seeing is the move toward skills-based hiring, where what a person can do matters more than just what’s on their resume. We are also seeing more use of AI and automation in HR, which helps us save time on repetitive tasks and focus more on people. At the same time, mental health and overall well-being have become more important than ever, and I believe it’s something we all need to prioritize. We are also seeing more conversations around diversity, inclusion, and flexibility, especially as remote and hybrid work continues to evolve.

At FinalFunnel, we are responding to these trends by offering more skills-focused learning opportunities, bringing in automation to make HR processes smoother, and putting extra care into mental wellness support. We are also reviewing our policies and practices to make sure they reflect today’s workforce and support every employee’s growth and well-being.

Q: What advice would you give to someone considering a career in demand generation, or to someone looking to join FinalFunnel specifically?

A: My biggest advice would be to stay curious, be open to change, and never stop learning. Demand generation can be fast and challenging, but it’s also full of learning, creativity, and growth. You don’t need to have all the answers from day one; what matters most is your willingness to learn, adapt, and keep moving forward.

If you are thinking about joining FinalFunnel, know that you will be joining a team that truly believes in people. Your ideas will be heard, your work will be appreciated, and your growth will be supported every step of the way.

We are a growing company, but we have never lost that human touch, the care, the collaboration, and the belief in building something meaningful together. So if you are ready to learn, contribute, and grow, this is a great place to be.

Q: In your opinion, what makes FinalFunnel a truly special place to work, both for seasoned professionals and emerging talent?

What makes FinalFunnel truly special is the way it combines high performance with genuine care. It is a place where you are encouraged to bring your ideas forward, take ownership, and keep learning - no matter your title or how many years of experience you have.

There is a strong sense of trust and respect here. Whether you are just starting or have years behind you, your voice matters. We keep our structure flat and our communication open, so people feel heard, included, and supported.

What I value most is how we look out for each other as colleagues, as people. It is not just about doing great work, but also about growing together, celebrating each other’s wins and helping one another during tough times. That balance of growth, opportunity, and empathy is what makes FinalFunnel more than just a workplace – it feels like a community. And that’s something you don’t find everywhere.
